A young African content creator from Ghana hits a threshold of one million subscribers on YouTube.
Ghanaians and other Africans take to social media to celebrate this success.
The content creator Wode Maya becomes the first African and Ghanaian to hit one million subscribers on YouTube.
He shared his YouTube home page displaying his subscribers on his Twitter account with 5000 likes and 700 retweets.
He started in 2019, having about one thousand subscribers on his YouTube account.
Now, he can boast of a whopping one million subscribers.
He explains that determination and hard work brought him this far.
He added that having over one thousand loyal subscribers following the brands he recommends could not be possible other than his subscribers’ trust.
The Ghanaian vlogger and freelancer Kobina Ackon, known as Wode Maya, studied aeronautical engineering with China’s Shenyang Aerospace University.
He started social media content creating, focusing on inspirational and compelling stories of Africans contributing to the development of Africa.
Collaborations from top content creators in social media YouTubers and entrepreneurs came with heights of interviewing diplomats, entrepreneurs, and cultural icons like Air peace airline, Allen Onyema, Innocent Ifediaso, and the former president of Ghana, John A. Kuffuor.
He is working on Africa to the world project, which brings viewers insights into Africa.
He looks forward to projecting Africa in a positive light.
Wode Maya hopes to inspire people to develop a good perception of Africa by promoting investment in Africa and calling it a place to be.
