WhatsApp to add a 3rd blue check to help prevent cyber threats
Users will be able to see who is screenshotting their talks as a result of this.
WhatsApp is introducing a new security feature that will add a third check – or blue checkmark – to the two already present.
Currently, when you send a message on WhatsApp, the first tick shows that the message is on its way, and the second tick indicates that the message has been received by the other person.

The ticks will also change from grey to blue after the message or messages have been viewed by the individual who sent it or them.
If you don’t want others to know when you’ve read a message, you may turn off this option.
WhatsApp has added a new function.
Many of us have taken a screenshot in a group conversation in the past, whether it was for directions or just a hilarious comment, but Infobae reports that in the not-too-distant future, a third blue check will show on WhatsApp when a screenshot is taken.
The goal is to avoid cyber-attacks and enhance user awareness of the privacy of communications and information shared on the app.
If the third blue check is added, which WhatsApp has not yet confirmed, it will notify users that a screenshot has been captured, as well as a warning about sharing sensitive information like bank account numbers.
