US President Biden Appoints A Ghanaian To Lead A Program. Dr. Edjah Nduom, the son of businessman Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has been honored and appointed by US President Biden to lead a “Cancer Moonshot Program” in the fight against cancer.
Dr. Edjah Kweku Nduom is a renowned neurosurgeon who practices in Bethesda, Maryland. He was an expert in brain and spinal tumor surgery, as well as pituitary surgery and skull base surgery.
US President Biden Appoints A Ghanaian To Lead A Program; Edjah was a pre-medical student at Stanford University in California before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine with a degree in medicine. He’s been in practice for 6-10 years and is currently exploring ways to use the immune system’s power to combat brain cancers.
His interest in science was natural, and as a boy, he was always excited to get a science kit, but his goal to become a neurosurgeon was sparked by his aunt’s gift of the book “Gifted Hands,” an autobiography of neurosurgeon Ben Carson.
Until he graduated from college, that inborn ambition became a part of him. The young surgeon has focused his efforts on harnessing the immune system to attack brain tumors after achieving a lot via extensive research and experimentation.
