UHAS Scholarship Deadline: The University of Health and Allied Sciences is a public university dedicated to the education of health professionals. The institution offers many scholarships, including the ‘Emefa A. Adawudu Foundation Scholarship, i2C Lab Scholarship, and many others.
This scholarship will be provided to choose students to help with their educational and living expenses, as part of the foundation’s goal to improve female education and gender advocacy in Ghana.

Students who qualify for this scholarship must:
- Have enrolled in UHAS for at least one (1) semester.
- Be in good academic standing.
- Have good academic credentials.
- Have demonstrated financial need.
- Not be a Women’s Commissioner.

UHAS Scholarship: About the Founder of the Scholarship
Emefa Awo Adawudu is a Ph.D. nursing student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Elaine Marieb Faculty of Nursing. She is a certified nurse with training in both medical and surgical nursing who worked in Ghana.
Her area of study is the self-management techniques used by individuals with type 2 diabetes. She is committed to performing research that will increase the use of evidence-based self-management techniques while minimizing diabetes complications and enhancing the quality of life for people with type 2 diabetes. She also devotes time to initiatives connected to activism and women’s empowerment.
