UG Admission Deadline: The University of Ghana announces for the benefit of the general public that admission applications are now being accepted for a variety of undergraduate programs for the academic year 2022–2023. Candidates should be aware of the following:
An applicant for admission to a degree program at the University of Ghana must have at least credits (A1-C6 in WASSCE and A-D in SSSCE) in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science (for Science related programs) or Social Studies (for non-Science related programs), as well as three elective science subjects for applicants to programs in Science or Agriculture
EXTENSION OF DEADLINE: 2022/2023 UNDERGRADUATE APPLICATIONS
The public is hereby informed that due to technical challenges, the deadline for undergraduate applications for the 2022/2023 academic year has been extended to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
For applicants applying to non-science-related disciplines, the overall aggregate cannot exceed 24. Agriculture-related fields or three electives in General Arts/Business.
Additionally, candidates in the sciences must have at least a grade of C6 in social studies/life skills on their WASSCE/D in SSSCE, while applicants in non-science fields must have at least a grade of C6 in integrated science/core science on their WASSCE/D in SSSCE.
Steps to purchasing UG Application voucher via USSD
University of Ghana online application E-VOUCHERS can be obtained by Ghanaian applicants for GH¢200.00 at the following banks: Access Bank, Ecobank, Republic Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, Ghana Commercial Bank, Zenith Bank, Universal Merchant Bank, Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), Prudential Bank and Fidelity Bank.
The E-VOUCHERS can also be purchased through the USSD code *887*18# on all mobile telecommunication networks.
(Please note that this information applies only to Ghanaian (diploma/HND to degree, undergraduate & postgraduate) applicants. However, it does not apply to Ghanaians (undergraduate) applying from abroad)
Follow these 4 easy steps to purchase an application e-voucher:
- Dial *887*18# on all networks
- Enter UG
- Authorize Payment
- User receives an e-voucher via SMS after successful payment.
In a situation where the user does not receive an SMS after a period of successfully completing the transaction, they can retrieve the e-voucher using the following steps:
To Retrieve E-Voucher:

- Select “Yes”
- Select “Retrieve E-Voucher”
- The details of the E-Voucher are displayed (ie University of Ghana, Serial Number, and PIN)

Candidates are also to obtain a form from Academic Affairs Office,
School of Medicine and Dentistry, Korle-Bu (Room 23) Fill and attach the following documents:
- Two recently endorsed passport-sized photographs, Two endorsed Recommendation Letters from 2 Referees from a relevant Academic Institution, Copy of Certificates (SHS & Degree), Original Transcript, a copy of 6 months’ bank statement (Include address), and a Letter from the Sponsor(s) undertaking to pay all fees showing detailed information of present work status, a Proof of online registration and NSS Certificates where applicable.
NB: Documents submitted will not be returned.
The University of Ghana Cut-Off Points 2022
The University of Ghana, UG Legon cut-off point for WASSCE candidates is 36. While for SSCE candidates is 24. Candidates who score below the cut-off point will not be considered for admission.

The University of Ghana (Legon) form for 2022/2023 is now available online via www.ug.edu.gh and registration of UG form will commence by April, 2022. The closing date for the registration of UG Legon admission 2022 has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
