The 14-track collection of songs by Black Sherif titled “The Villain I Never Was” goes into great detail on his current emotional state and the problems he is facing.
The album’s formal release gained momentum thanks to songs like Soja, Kwaku The Traveler, and Second Sermon Remix, which was already out there.
The project only had one performer, Burna Boy, and he did so on the remix of the Second Sermon, one of the album’s 14 songs. This is a powerful testament to Black Sherif’s prowess as a solo artist.
At the most recent BET Hip-Hop Awards, Black Sherif was not awarded best international flow, but this album will make up for it. He will surely have additional opportunities and push limits as a result of this effort.
