President Nana Akufo Addo will undertake a two-day trip to the Central Region today, Monday, October 18, 2021.
He made the announcement on his social media accounts.
This would be President Akufo-first Addo’s trip to the region following his election victory in 2020.
During his trip, the president will commission and examine projects that are part of the government’s 1-District-1-Factory initiative, which is part of his industrialization plan.
President Akufo-Addo will also inspect ongoing road projects in the region, meet with traditional leaders in the communities, and inspect engineering laboratories and workshops built by the Ministry of Education and the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training at Cape Coast Technical University.
On Tuesday, the President will make a courtesy visit on the Chiefs of Hemang Lower Denkyira, cut the sod for the building of the Hemang-Nsutem Cocoa Road, and commission Central Oil Mills, a firm in Assin Jukwa that is part of the government’s 1-District-1-Factory project.
