South African woman gives birth to ten babies.
According to reports, Gosiame Sithole, a South African mother, has broken the Guinness World Record by giving birth to ten children.
Sithole, 37, gave birth to seven boys and three girls on Monday, shattering the previous world record of nine children set by a Malian lady, Halima Cisse, in Morocco last month.
Sithole’s babies were born through caesarian section, which surprised her and her husband, who were anticipating eight children.
Sithole gave birth to her children at the age of 29 weeks, according to her husband, who spoke to Pretoria News on Monday night.
He further stated that his wife was not undergoing any reproductive treatments and that the pregnancy was entirely natural.
“There are seven lads and three girls in the group. She had been pregnant for seven months and seven days. I am content. I’m a sensitive person. I’m not able to say much. Please, let’s discuss in the morning,” Tsotetsi remarked.“
I am astonished by my pregnancy,” Sithole remarked last month when asked about her pregnancy. It was difficult at first.
“I wasn’t feeling well. It was difficult for me. It’s still difficult, but I’m accustomed to it. I’m no longer in agony, but it’s still a challenge.
“All I ask is for God to help me deliver all of my children in good health, and for myself and my children to survive. That would make me happy.”
The couple already has six-year-old twins, bringing their total number of children to twelve.
