On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, single-track schools in Ghana will formally complete the first academic session of 2023.
SHS pupils in single track schools are required to vacate next week: According to the single-track senior high schools’ 2023 academic calendar, Form Three students who started this academic year on January 10 this year will break on April 5 of the same year. The estimated return date for students is April 17, 2023.
On April 5, 2023, the Form Twos of the same category will likewise break. From April 6 through April 16, 2023, students will be home. The second semester will begin on April 17, 2023, and end on August 25, 2023.
Similar to the Form Twos, the Form Ones will likewise have two terms and a break on April 5, 2023. On April 6 through April 16, 2023, students will be at home. Beginning on April 17, 2023, and ending on September 15, 2023, is the second term.

WHAT ABOUT DOUBLE-TRACK SCHOOLS
The 2023 Transitional Academic Calendar for Double Track Senior High School (SHS) indicates that the first term for Form Threes will run from January 10, 2023, to April 5, 2023.
The end of the first term will have a vacation from April 6, 2023, to April 16, 2023. The second term begins on April 17, 2023, and last through June 1. The second term will end on June 02, 2023, with a breakthrough to June 08, 2023, and the third term will begin on June 09, 2023, and end on September 15, 2023.
For Form Twos within the same category, the first term will begin on January 10, 2023, and end on February 17, 2023, with a rest period from February 18, 2023, to April 10, 2023. The second term will begin on April 11, 2023, and end on June 01, 2023, with a break from June 02, 2023, to August 11, 2023, before starting again for the third term on August 14, 2023, and ending on November 30, 2023.
Moreover, the first term for Form Ones belonging to this category will run from February 20, 2023, to April 13, 2023, with a break between April 14, 2023, and June 8, 2023.
WHAT ABOUT BASIC SCHOOLS
Ghana’s basic schools are currently off for vacation. The second term begins on April 3, 2023, runs through June 15, 2023, with a break from June 16, 2023, to June 26, 2023. The third term begins on June 27, 2023, and runs through September 14, 2023.
