Rocky Dawuni was nominated for his album “Voice of Bunbon Vol.1,” which was published in April 2021.
He was nominated with Wizkid from Nigeria, who was nominated for his album “Made In Lagos.”
Daniel Ho & Friends, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti, and Made Kuti are among the other artists in the Global Album Music category. The candidates for the 64th Grammy Awards were revealed via the music academy’s official Twitter account.
This would be Rocky Dawuni’s second appearance in the famous awards program.
In 2015, the Ghanaian singer was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Reggae Album for his sixth studio album, ‘Branches of The Same Tree.’ The ‘Black Star’ singer became the first Ghanaian to be nominated for a Grammy.

At the 2022 Grammy Awards, two brand-new categories will be introduced: Best Global Music Performance (Global Music Field) and Best Msica Urbana Album (Latin Music Field).
