Resumption Date for KNUST: We understand that the recent scheduling changes in the WASSCE have raised questions and concerns about the commencement of the 2023/2024 academic year at KNUST.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the WASSCE 2023 will be held at a later period than usual. This shift in the examination schedule will indeed have a ripple effect on the timelines for the processing and release of the WASSCE results.
As you know, the WASSCE results are a crucial part of the admissions process for the incoming batch of students. This delay, therefore, affects the timeline for the processing and release of the 2023/2024 KNUST Admissions.
The Impact on the 2023/2024 Academic Year
As a result of these changes, students will not be returning to campus this year to begin the 2023/2024 academic year. Instead, the start of the academic year is now expected to be in January 2024.
We understand that this may be disappointing news for many, especially for those eager to start or continue their academic journey at KNUST. However, we believe that this is the best decision to ensure the fairness and integrity of the admissions process and to provide an equal opportunity for all prospective students.
Moving Forward: Resumption Date for KNUST
While we understand that this change may cause some inconveniences, we assure you that we are working tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition. The exact resumption date is yet to be determined by KNUST Management. As soon as a date is finalized, we will communicate this to all students and staff.
We appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of education, and we believe that this decision, although challenging, is in the best interest of our academic community.
In the meantime, we encourage all students to use this extended break as an opportunity to rest, rejuvenate, and prepare for the forthcoming academic year. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus in 2024.
