2023/2024 B.Sc. Radiography Entry Requirements at the University of Ghana will be discussed in this publication.
General Entry Requirements into Legon Campus, Accra City Campus and Korle Bu Campus.
An applicant for admission to a degree program at the University of Ghana must possess at least credits (A1-C6 in WASSCE and A-D in SSSCE) in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science (for Science related programmes), or Social Studies (for non-Science related programmes), as well as three elective subjects in Science for applicants to disciplines related to Science or Agriculture, or three elective subjects in General Arts/Business for applicants to non-Scientific disciplines, with a maximum aggregate number of 24 in total. Moreover, students in the sciences must have at least a grade of C6 in social studies/life skills on their WASSCE/D in SSSCE, while applicants in non-science fields must have at least a grade of C6 in integrated science/core science on their SSSCE.
Bachelor of Science in Radiography Entry Requirements
Entry requirements:
Core: Credit passes in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science & Social Studies
Electives: Credit passes in Chemistry, Physics and either Biology or Elective Mathematics
WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants from the West African Sub-region
The University of Ghana requires applicants for admission to degree programs to have at least credits (A1-C6 in WASSCE and A-D in SSSCE) in English, Core Mathematics, a Social Science subject, a Science subject, and three relevant elective subjects, with the total aggregate not exceeding 24 for the sciences and 30 for the humanities.
Core: Credit passes in English, Core Mathematics, and a Science subject
Electives: Credit passes in Three (3) Electives comprising Chemistry, Physics, and either Biology or Further Mathematics
Applicants with American High School Grade 12
A minimum Final Grade Score of 3.0 is required for admission to a degree program at the University of Ghana. A minimum final grade point of 3.25 is required for admission to the University of Ghana Medical School and the University of Ghana Dentistry School.
Level 100 will be the entry point.
Entry Requirements- Cambridge ‘A’ and ‘O’ Levels
GCE (Cambridge) – ‘A’ and ‘O’ Levels
Candidates must have earned three relevant courses at the Cambridge “A” Levels. Also, students need to have earned at least five (5) passes at the Cambridge “O” Level, including English and mathematics. You will need to have three (3) ‘A’ Level subjects, which must include Chemistry, Physics, and either Biology or Mathematics, in order to be admitted to the University of Ghana to study B.Sc. radiography.
Apply as International Baccalaureate
Students who adhere to the IB Diploma Programme and fulfill the following College criteria are welcome to apply to the University of Ghana. Entry will be at Level 100.
Candidates must have at least Grade 5 in Chemistry and either Biology or Physics at the Higher Level. Moreover, candidates must possess a grade of C or higher in the third science at the IGCSE or a comparable exam, as well as a grade of at least 4 in both English/Literature (SL) and Mathematics (SL).
