Netflix Gaming is now available, but these are the titles I’m most interested in seeing.
Netflix’s first two games were released on August 27, 2021 on the Android app for users in Poland. “It’s early days,” Netflix says on Twitter, “and we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us in the months ahead, but this is the first step.”
Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3 are two games based on the popular Netflix show’s seasons two and three.
According to the game information, you can play as one of 12 characters from the series (basically all of the major characters) and explore both Hawkins and the Upside Down.
The game has a pixelated 80s aesthetic and may be played in solo or multiplayer mode.
Though we already knew that gaming would be coming to Netflix, it will be interesting to see how multiplayer works – whether you can play with a friend’s Netflix account or if it’s limited to one screen.

By releasing the games in this manner, with a limited audience, Netflix will be able to test the features and receive feedback before releasing them to the general public.
What more games might we expect after it goes global?
I’ve compiled a list of five games based on Netflix series that I’d like to check out.
THE QUEENS GAMBIT
With its chess-themed story, it would be simple to turn this into a game.
Combine some actual chess challenges with the opportunity to earn more of Beth’s favorite happy pills, and you’ve got a winner.
THE LAST DANCE
Who wouldn’t want to play as Scottie Pippin, Steve Kerr, Dennis Rodman, and Michael Jordan, members of the Chicago Bulls’ 1990s team?
Even though it was previously an ESPN show, this is an easy three-pointer for Netflix.
OZARK
The Ozark setting is ideal for a video game.
Marty Bird’s mission of purchasing land in the Ozarks to launder money for a Mexican drug lord seems like an adventure game waiting to happen.
BRIDGERTON
The racy period drama about everyone’s favorite British aristocratic families in early nineteenth-century London may make for a spicy RPG.
Play as a member of the Bridgerton or Featherington families, Marina, or the Duke in order to find suitable marriages and escape – or cause – scandal.
TIGER KING
Tiger King, maybe the most popular show to debut during last year’s lockdowns, was a car crash that you couldn’t look away from.
But, as a game, might it be a hit? You may take on the role of Joe Exotic, who buys and sells tigers while donning more crazy clothes.
Alternatively, as Carole Baskin’s adversary, saving the tigers before Joe sells them. It is self-written.
