MTN Foundation has relaunched the Bright Scholarship: The MTN Ghana Foundation has unveiled the ‘Bright Scholarship Reloaded’, the second edition of the Bright Scholarship Award, to help underprivileged and bright individuals at public tertiary institutions and vocational training institutes.
Bright Scholarship from MTN The MTN Bright Scholarship, which was inaugurated in 2018, has been reloaded. The program is designed to help students meet their financial obligations.
The scholarships will include tuition, housing, a stipend, and a laptop computer. For the next three years, the Foundation will give 100 scholarships, with the last one being in 2024.
Beneficiaries will be chosen from Ghana’s 16 regions, with kids from the six newly constituted regions given special attention (North East, Savannah, Ahafo, Bono East, Western North, and Oti).
Students must be Ghanaian citizens enrolled in any of Ghana’s authorized public tertiary or vocational training institutions to be eligible for the MTN Bright Scholarship.

Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate that he or she has achieved exceptional academic outcomes with no academic disciplinary difficulties.
As a result, the MTN Ghana Foundation is asking eligible students to apply for MTN Bright Scholarships Reloaded from June 2 to July 4, 2022.

“The MTN Bright Scholarship is an initiative that is near to our hearts at MTN Ghana because it has proved to have the capacity to change the future and destiny of young people in Ghana who are crucial to our economic prospects,” said Mr. Selorm Adadevoh, CEO of MTN Ghana, during the inauguration.
“For me, it is humbling to know that the Scholarship scheme has brought hope, relief, and peace of mind to many young Ghanaians and their families.
“Out of the 300 BRIGHT scholars to date, over 119 beneficiaries have graduated. Out of this number, 82 graduated with first-class degrees with 24 receiving special awards including valedictorians “
“Following these successes and the impact of the MTN Bright Scholarship scheme, the MTN Foundation Board decided as part of MTN’s 25th Anniversary celebration, to launch the MTN Bight Scholarship Reloaded to award the second batch of 300 scholarships for another three years (100 per year) ending in 2024 to brilliant and needy students in public institutions,” he added.
The MTN Bright Scholarship is part of the MTN Foundation’s education focus area, which is one of the three focus areas of the MTN Ghana Foundation.
Aside from the Bright Scholarship project, the Foundation has provided over 1000 scholarships to students ranging from elementary school to university education over the years.
The MTN Foundation has funded in approximately 87 educational initiatives around the country since its inception in 2007.
Construction of a 600-bed dormitory complex for Tamale Senior High School, a multifunctional library at Dansoman, a Telecom Laboratory for GIMPA, a six-unit classroom block for Nhyiaso Basic School, and a three-unit classroom block for Mangoase Basic School are just a few of these projects.
MTN Ghana Foundation will continue to invest in activities that will have a significant impact on capacity building.
