When he first started selling motorcycles, he discovered that the majority of people were bringing used motorcycles into Nigeria and paying exorbitant sums for them.
As a result, he devised a method of bringing brand new motorcycles into the country at a far lower price than used motorcycles.
Innocent stated that he believes Nigerians need their own indigenous vehicle manufacturing plant because the cost of imported cars is always exorbitant, which most Africans cannot afford.
He later formed Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), a vehicle manufacturing company that produces trucks, SUVs, buses, sedans, and even fighter jet replacement parts for the Nigerian army.
The company makes tyres and tubes for bikes. On a daily basis, they make roughly 8,000 motorbike tyres and 13,000 tubes.
The company’s plant is located in Enugu State in Nigeria’s South-East area, and it currently employs around 7,400 Nigerians.
