Former President John Dramani Mahama will visit the Volta Region today, Monday, October 18, as part of his countrywide “Thank You” trip.
President Mahama will meet with the Agbogbomefia, Togbe Afede XIV, and the Asogli Traditional Council as part of his two-phased trip to the region.
He’ll also have a meeting with religious leaders at Ho Kpodzi’s Dela Cathedral. On Global FM, the former President will also give a live radio interview. His communication staff informed him about this.
A visit to the late Comrade Courage Worlasi Danku’s home, where he would sympathize with the family and sign a book of condolence in remembrance of the late NDC Deputy Regional Youth Organizer at Sokode Gbagble, is also on the agenda.
Mr. Mahama will also meet with party members at Ho Technical University’s G.M. Afeti Auditorium.
He will pay a courtesy visit on the Volta Regional House of Chiefs during the second leg of his journey.
Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman and General Secretary respectively, national executives, and other party veterans from the area would accompany Mr. Mahama.
Following his visit to the Volta Region, the former president will travel to the Oti Region.
