Death does not always give you notice before thrusting its snout into your life. Death can be difficult at times, but it is unavoidable. Every day, we pray to God to keep us safe and guard us from death while we go about our daily lives.
In this post, we’ll look at some of Africa’s greatest presidents who passed away while still in office. It’s frustrating at times, but perhaps that is God’s will for them, or perhaps their time on this planet has come to an end.

1 . John Evans Atta Mills (Died 2012)
From the 7th of January 2009 until his death on the 24th of July 2012, John Evans Atta Mills served as President of Ghana. He was dubbed the “Man of Peace” by the public. His death stunned the entire world. He was the President of Ghana at the time, and he was still in power. At the age of 68, he died of a stroke and throat cancer, according to rumors (68). He was only in office for three years and a few months before dying.
2 . Malawi’s President, Bingu Wa Mutharika (Died in 2012).
Mr. Bingu was the president of Malawi for eight years. He was primarily chastised by his own people in the country. He was also accused of wasting 14 million dollars on a private jet for himself. He told the people of the country about his success. During his time in office, he also died in 2012. He was the president of the Democratic Progressive Party, which he founded in February 2005 and supported with his own money.
3 . Samora Moisés Machel
Samora Moisés Machel was a military officer and political leader in Mozambique. He was also a socialist in the Marxist – Leninist tradition. On the 19th of October 1986, Samora Moisés Machel died in office when his presidential plane crashed near the Mozambican-South African border.
