Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid: The France international’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of June, and he has been linked with a free transfer to the Bernabeu.
PSG has been urgently trying to persuade the striker to sign new terms in the French city, but they appear to have been forced to concede defeat.
Real Madrid is convinced that Mbappe will sign his contract at the Bernabeu before the end of the week, bringing the long-running drama to a conclusion, according to Marca.
According to the source, ‘negotiations have escalated’ after Los Blancos knocked PSG out of the Champions League last week, despite Mbappe’s two goals being insufficient to put his team through.
The 23-year-old is expected to earn €25 million (£20.9 million) each season after taxes, with a bonus of between €60 million (£50 million) and €80 million (£67 million) to join the club.
Mbappe has been in superb form with his French club this season, scoring 25 goals and providing 17 assists in 35 games across all competitions.
