Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are expected to hold crucial negotiations over Kylian Mbappe’s future.
Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are reportedly set to enter crunch transfer talks regarding the future of Kylian Mbappe this week.
The star forward has entered the final year of his current contract, with the French giants reportedly unable to persuade him to pen a new deal to keep him at the club beyond summer 2022.
And according to El Chiringuito via Diario AS, PSG have given up the fight to keep Mbappe and are willing to discuss terms of a move away, even considering replacing him with Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo if he leaves.
Despite his concerns over the acquisition of Lionel Messi when the Argentine maestro departed Barcelona, the Parisians have maintained their optimism that they can convince the 22-year-old to stay.
Mbappe has previously stated that he wants to join Real Madrid after scoring 133 goals in 173 games in all competitions since coming from Monaco in 2017.
Despite the fact that Mbappe’s contract is coming to an end, the club will not accept a bargain transfer fee. Real had previously been offered an asking price of £85 million, with PSG’s absolute lowest cost estimated to be about £75 million.
