Kante is ready for Spurs: Kante, whose deal with Chelsea expires in the summer, has not played under Potter since injuring his hamstring against Tottenham in August. But, Chelsea is now optimistic that he will sign a new contract, according to Wilsontrendit.
In order to improve his match readiness, the French international has lately participated in some light training at Cobham with the rest of the Chelsea team, according to wilsontrendit.
N’golo Kante, Christian Pulisic, and Cesar Azpilicueta will not play for Chelsea against Tottenham on Sunday, according to Graham Potter’s pre-game news conference.
As several injuries afflicted the club, the Blues are now starting to see the majority of its injured first team stars return.
Raheem Sterling, Reece James, and Ben Chilwell have all made their comebacks in recent weeks, with the first two being inserted back into the lineup as starts whenever feasible.
Azpilicueta had a severe concussion when James was rested against Southampton, requiring a stretcher to remove him from the Stamford Bridge pitch.
Potter selected himself as one of the three first team players who cannot be selected.
“He’s [Azpilicueta] as ok as you can be when you’ve got that concussion,” he declared. He won’t be prepared for the weekend because we need to follow regulations, but he’s doing OK.
“Training has gone well this week. With the exception of N’Golo and Christian Pulisic, everyone is available.
Because the Frenchman hasn’t played on the field since August, Kante and Pulisic have been spotted returning to training this week.
Training: Kante is ready for Spurs
His return will be a huge boost for Potter since some Chelsea fans are hoping the 31-year-old is the solution to their problem of needing to find a long-term partner for Enzo Fernandez.
Although a slew of new January arrivals threatened to make Pulisic’s spot in the team hard to regain, he has also not been given the chance to flourish.
When he returns, he’ll probably compete with Mykhailo Mudryk for a position on Chelsea’s left attack.
