Germany 2-0 Israel: Chelsea duo Kai Havertz and Timo Werner both get on the scoresheet

On Saturday, Germany defeated Israel 2-0 courtesy of goals from Chelsea’s Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.
Havertz gave the hosts the lead nine minutes before halftime, and Werner increased Germany’s lead on the stroke of halftime after being set up by Ilkay Gundogan.
Both teams missed late penalties, but Hansi Flick’s side had a pleasant evening as they continue their preparations for the World Cup later this year.
Germany has won each of their past eight matches in all competitions, and they will play their final friendly before the Nations League on Tuesday in the Netherlands. Israel also has a friendly match against Romania coming up.

With a 2-0 win over Israel, Germany extends their winning streak. The hosts had a reasonably easy time of it, scoring both goals in the first half. Before halftime, Havertz whipped in a corner at the near post, and Werner pushed Gundogan’s free-kick beyond Marciano.
Werner’s goal was called back due to offside, and Germany was awarded a late penalty, which Muller slammed off the outside of the post.
