January transfer window: For the January transfer window, Chelsea and RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku have reached a €70 million agreement.
This season, Chelsea has had a difficult time maintaining a winning record, and the hiring of Graham Potter hasn’t made an instant impact. Potter will need time to assemble his team and put his coaching philosophy into practice, but if they want to go up in the Premier League, they will need reinforcements.
Because players like Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang haven’t had the greatest of beginnings to their Chelsea careers, Potter could prioritize signing a forward in January.
Now, according to Ben Jacobs in the tweet below, RB Leipzig and Chelsea have agreed to an agreement for the sale of Nkunku for somewhere about €70 million.
Nkunku’s talent could be able to give Chelsea’s lackluster assault some bite. The French international would be a great addition to Potter because of his lightning speed and goal-scoring ability.
Despite a recent injury keeping him out of the World Cup for France, Todd Boehly seems to have found Chelsea’s man as he plans to splurge the dough in his first season.
