Jamal Edwards dies aged 31, SBTV founder and music pioneer. Thousands of followers took to Twitter to express their condolences for Jamal Edwards MBE, who died at the age of 31.
At the age of 15, the British entrepreneur launched the internet music channel SBTV, which helped launch the careers of big musicians like Ed Sheeran.
Stormzy, Dave, Emeli Sandé, Rita Ora, Krept & Konan were among the performers he shot, and he is credited with supporting up-and-coming acts in the London music industry.
He was regarded as a forerunner in British rap and grime music.
Edwards received an MBE in the 2015 New Year’s Honours list for his contributions to music and his company, SBTV.
On Sunday evening, Edwards’ organization confirmed the news to the BBC.
His death, which occurred just days after he attended the 2022 Brit Awards, has yet to be determined.
In November 2021, he appeared on ITV’s Loose Women with his mother, Brenda Edwards, to discuss “How He Built a Multi-Million Pound Business & How His Mum Brenda Inspired Him.”
He also became an ambassador for the Prince of Wales’s Prince’s Trust, a youth organization that assists young people in starting their own businesses.
When he was 15, his parents bought him a video camera for Christmas, and he became interested in filmmaking.

‘We are profoundly grieved to learn about Jamal Edwards demise,’ the Mobo Awards Facebook page wrote.
