How To Change Your Program After Been Admitted To KNUST.
Attending KNUST is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for many people, and for others, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that they will never forget.
As a result, a lot of individuals strive to make the best of a bad situation.
They aspire to achieve the greatest grades, form excellent interactions, and establish long-term partnerships.
Prior to all of this excitement, there is a step known as the entry procedure, which looks “complex” to many new entrants or fresh candidates.
During this process, applicants must pick the programs or courses they intend to pursue after they are admitted to the University.
How To Change Your Program After Been Admitted To KNUST
Applicants must choose a few courses and rank them from most desired (also known as the first choice) to least favored (also known as the second choice).
Every candidate hopes to get admitted to KNUST so that they can pursue their first-choice studies, but a lot of criteria determine whether or not they are afforded this chance.
An applicant’s chances of securing their first-choice course may be influenced by their overall performance in that year’s cut-off points, as well as the number of qualified students applying for the same program.
After all, candidates have gone through this simple yet fate-determining practice, the well-placed applicants receive their first-choice programs.
Others are assessed for their second and third choices using the same criteria that were used to determine if they were eligible for their first choice.
When provisional acceptance letters are provided at the end of the procedure, some candidates are regretfully admitted to programs they did not want to read, which brings us to the primary point of this article.
CAN APPLICANTS CHANGE THEIR STUDY PROGRAMS AFTER BEING ACCEPTED AT KNUST?
That dilemma has tormented many students for a long time, forcing some to cope and finish their university education despite choosing classes they detest.
The answer is an unequivocal YES! Students can alter their majors after being accepted to KNUST.
After being accepted to KNUST, how do you change your program?
The student must complete the first year of the program to which they were accepted.
For example, if an applicant was approved to study BA English but later decided to pursue BA Political Science, he or she must first finish level 100 as an English student.
The student can notify the Head of Department (HOD) of his or her selected program of his or her intent to change programs after the first year.
The new program must be comparable to the prior one.
A business student, for example, will not be allowed to switch to Medicine as a major.
The HOD of the new program will seek the results of the prior program’s examinations, and if they fulfill the standards and there is a place for more students, the change of program will be finalized.
