Freda Prempeh as the new Minister of Sanitation: Freda Oheneafrewo Prempeh, a three-term Member of Parliament for Tano North and Minister of State in the Presidency, has been elected by the President as the new Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources.
She succeeds Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, whose resignation letter, dated Saturday, July 22, 2023, was approved by the President that same day.
On July 25, 2023, the Presidency’s Director of Communications released a statement which was also signed by him saying, “The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appointed the Minister of State at the Presidency and Member of Parliament for Tano North, Hon. Freda Prempeh as the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources. She succeeds the Honourable Cecilia Abena Dapaah.”……

The revelation that Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah had filed a lawsuit against her former “house helps” for apparently taking substantial sums of cash in dollars from her home led to her resignation last week.
Further adjustments and appointments were made in addition to her appointment, and the press release claimed that they would go into action immediately.
