#FixUHASRoadsNow, UHAS Administration and students calls on government to fix the poor road leading to the main campus.
In Sept, as part of the dualisation of Sokode–Ho highways, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cut sod for the building of the Sokode–Titrinu bypass. On September 1, during the President’s visit to portions of the Volta Region, a sod cutting ceremony was place at the UHAS intersection on the bypass.
The work begins at the Sokode–Etoe junction on the Sokode–Ho dual carriageway, continues past the UHAS Main Campus entrance to the projected Mirage crossroads, and concludes at Ho Technical University’s main entrance. It will be a two-lane road with an asphaltic concrete surface, as well as drainage, footpaths, and lamps.
Till date, the project has been abandoned, the Dean of Students of the school recently tweeted;
‘In Sept. last year Prez @NAkufoAddo came to Ho to cut sod for Sokode-Titrinu by-pass and @UHASGhana internal roads. #FirstSky Construction came to construct some gutters & vanished. What happened @GhanaPresidency?’
Please this condition is not favoring us at all. We cannot continue in this state any longer.
