Five armed robbers were apprehended in Afiedeyenga in the Volta Region by the police in a joint operation.
According to a Facebook post from the police department, the operation was carried out last Saturday at 11:30 p.m. by a joint team of police officers and residents.
As a group, the thieves stormed a shop and opened fire on a car.
There were no reported casualties.
