Erling Haaland, the prolific goal-scoring Norwegian striker, has been bestowed with the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award, while Arsenal’s dynamic and gifted young talent, Bukayo Saka, has claimed the Young Player of the Year honor. Haaland’s spectacular scoring feats, coupled with Saka’s dazzling displays, have earned them much-deserved recognition for their exceptional contributions to their respective clubs.
Haaland won the award, De Bruyne, Stones, Saka, Odegaard, and Kane were runners-up. City won all three major trophies in English football.
In June 2022, Haaland moved from Borussia Dortmund to City as part of a £51.2 million transaction.He was also a candidate for the young player award, which went to England winger Saka for his best season with the Gunners, during which he scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists.
The 21-year-old defeated fellow nominees Evan Ferguson of Brighton, Jacob Ramsey of Aston Villa, Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal, and Moises Caicedo of Brighton, who recently joined Chelsea.Both of the individual prize winners were also a part of the PFA Team of the Year at the same time.The PFA women’s player of the year was awarded to Rachel Daly of Aston Villa, and the young player of the year was Lauren James of Chelsea.
