Liverpool 2-0 Leicester City: Diogo Jota double seals Premier League win.
Liverpool won all three points at home against Leicester City in week 24 of the 2021/22 Premier League, early Friday morning WIB. Anfield Stadium saw the Reds win 2-0.
Diogo Jota scored a goal in the 34th and 87th minutes to give Liverpool the win. With the victory, Liverpool maintains their second-place position in the table with 51 points, while Leicester drops to 12th place with 26 points.

Leicester threatened Liverpool’s goal in the 7th minute. Ademola Lookman released a through ball which was received by James Maddison, Maddison’s shot could still be pushed over by Alisson Becker.
In the 19th minute, Liverpool got a new chance. Trent Alexander-Arnold outwitted many Leicester defenders, but Peter Schmeichel parried his effort with one hand.
In minute 34, Liverpool scored their first goal. Virgil van Dijk’s header was blocked by Schmeichel, but Diogo Jota retrieved it almost immediately.
Thiago Alcantara scored an amazing goal from beyond the penalty box just before halftime. His shot, though, went wide of the goal.
Early in the second half, Liverpool pressed their advantage. Schmeichel pushed Jota’s cross over, and Firmino, who was in front of the goal, was unable to grasp it.
In the 74th minute, Mohamed Salah gets a fantastic opportunity. He received a through ball and faced just Schmeichel, but his attempt was still parried. His shot struck the bar four minutes later.
In the 87th minute, Jota clinched Liverpool’s win. He who was in front of the goal instantly tore the net using Joel Matip’s bait.
