Chef Faila Breaks Hilda Bacci Cook-a-thon; On January 1, Chef Faila began a five-day culinary marathon at Tamale’s Modern City Hotel, which was scheduled to end on January 5.
She has been cooking for more than 100 hours straight, and she is on pace to break the record currently held by Alan Fisher of Ireland.
Chef Faila is still determined to triumph in the cook-a-Thon, even in the face of pressure to excel. Ghanaians everywhere have joined together in support of her cause, realizing how important what she is doing is to the country’s benefit.
It appears from recent postings that Chef Faila is reevaluating her original 120-hour schedule. Chef Faila is now aiming for an astonishing 200 hours, according to information provided by renowned media personality Gifty Anti. She also intends to challenge three more records in the kitchen.
Generous Support for Chef Faila
Former First Lady Lordina Mahama graciously gifted Chef Faila “Jordin cookware,” which she is using in her bid to break records. With this gift, Chef Faila hopes to fulfill her ambition and make Ghana proud. Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini, the MP for Tamale North, also paid Chef Faila a visit at the Modern City Hotel and gave her GH¢10,000 to support her in completing this outstanding culinary venture.
In an interview conducted before the cook-a-thon, Chef Faila stated that her goal goes beyond individual success. As a representative of Ghana internationally, she views it as a national task. Not only would losing the contest be embarrassing for her, but it could also pose a shame to the country.
