“Pray for the assembly and specifically for the sick to be healed,” the Bishop is said to have said. Several persons claimed to have been healed of a variety of diseases.”
“After the Good Friday Miracle Service, news spread of the sudden passing away of Dr. David Heward-Mills,” the essay said.
“David Heward-Mills was Bishop Dag Heward-Mills’ first son. David worked and lived in the United States of America as a medical practitioner.
Despite the news of the Bishop’s death, he has shown tremendous and admirable trust in God in the face of severe loss and sorrow. The opinion piece continued, “He implored his flock not to lose confidence in God.”
The throng prayed for the nation, Ghana, notably for President Akufo Addo, the Executive, the Legislature, the Judiciary, and the people of Ghana, led by various Bishops of Charismatic denominations. Prayers for the salvation of people from all nations were also offered.
To commemorate the occasion, a ten-thousand-strong choir sang songs. The well-organized event drew large crowds that shattered previous attendance records.
