Apple Will Fix iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro Speaker for Free. Apple announced a voluntary recall for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro earlier this year.
According to Apple, “a very tiny proportion” of iPhone 12 models were having sound difficulties owing to a component on the receiver module that may break.
The impacted devices were made between October 2020 and April 2021, according to Apple. As the year comes to a conclusion in 2021, Apple appears to have continued the service program in at least one location.
In August of 2021, Apple initially introduced the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro servicing program for sound concerns. The business stated that any qualifying gadgets will be repaired for free.
Apple has just recently expanded the initiative to include the United Arab Emirates, according to the Khaleej Times.
The following is Apple’s comment to the Dubai-based magazine regarding the recall:
Due to a component failure on the receiver module, Apple has found that a very small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices may suffer sound difficulties.

Between October 2020 and April 2021, the affected devices were manufactured. If the receiver on your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not emit sound when making or receiving calls, it may be qualified for servicing. Apple or an Apple-authorized Servicing Provider will provide free service to eligible devices.
Apple Will Fix iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro Speaker for Free
This message is very identical to one issued by Apple on August 27th through its support site. The servicing program does not apply to any iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max devices, as it did during the summer. The problem appears to be limited to the 12 and 12 Pro, so if you buy either the smallest or largest model, you should be OK.
You’ll need to contact Apple directly if you wish to take advantage of this offer. In some cases, Apple allows customers to determine eligibility by entering their device’s serial number. This service program does not appear to be one of them. As a result, you’ll need to contact Apple to see if your phone qualifies before mailing it in.
How to get Apple to fix iPhone 12 no sound issues
Once you’ve determined that your phone qualifies, you have a few options:
- Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
- Make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store
- Contact Apple Support to arrange mail-in service via the Apple Repair Center.
Make a backup of your phone before sending it or taking it to a retail retailer. Apple also mentions that if the iPhone 12 or 12 Pro has any damage that prevents it from fixing the sound problem, that issue must be addressed first.
Depending on what Apple has to do to fix the no sound problem, it may charge you for those repairs.

This is also a good reminder that the service program is still going on in the United States and throughout the world.
