Apple 1st place
Apple had a fantastic year in 2021, capped off by becoming the first business to reach a market worth of $3 trillion at the start of 2022.
The company’s success in the past was based on honing its core brand positioning, but its recent expansion can be credited to its awareness that its brand can be applied to a considerably larger range of services.
The iPhone continues to account for roughly half of Apple’s sales.
With a new generation of iPads, a revamp of the iMac, and the launch of AirTags, Apple focused more on its other goods this year.
Google 3rd place
Google’s brand worth increased by 38 percent to US$263.4 billion.
The majority of the brand’s revenue comes from advertising, and it was hit hard at the onset of the epidemic when advertising spending decreased owing to uncertainty.
However, when the world acclimated to the new normal and people spent more time online, advertising budgets reopened and Google’s company recovered, resulting in a healthy increase in brand value.
Samsung 6th place
As a result of new product launches, Samsung’s revenues have increased.
The company has excelled its competitors with strong sales in their chip manufacturing industry despite a global supply chain issue and high demand for memory chips.
Samsung is also building a new computer chip facility in Texas costing US$17 billion to accommodate consumer demand.
With a new line of portable gadgets, as well as kitchen and home appliances, the digital behemoth has expanded its electronics portfolio.
Huawei 9th place
Huawei is the ninth most valuable brand in 2022, having risen from 21st place in 2021.
Huawei has come a long way since the ban was imposed in the United States.
Huawei has reclaimed its place among the top ten most valuable brands in the world, with a market capitalization of US$71.2 billion, up 29 percent from the previous year.
The US sanctions struck Huawei’s smartphone business hard, but the company responded well by increasing investment in domestic technology companies and R&D, as well as shifting its focus to cloud services.
Finally
Finally, TikTok is the fastest-growing brand globally.
TikTok is the world’s fastest-growing brand, with its brand worth having tripled in the last year.
The brand worth of the entertainment app has climbed by 215 percent, from US$18.7 billion in 2021 to US$59.0 billion this year.
It is the highest new entrant to the Brand Finance Global 500 2022 list, ranking 18th among the world’s top 500 most valuable brands.
With COVID-19 limits in place around the world until 2021, digital entertainment, social media, and streaming services grew in popularity, and TikTok’s emergence demonstrates how media consumption is changing.
The app’s popularity grew around the world thanks to its easy-to-digest and amusing content, but it also served as a creative outlet and a way for people to communicate during the lockdown.
