Andre Ayew missed a penalty: Harry Kane’s two goals helped Tottenham Hotspur defeat Nottingham Forest 3-1 on Saturday, securing fourth place in the Premier League and lifting them out of the doldrums of the previous ten demoralizing days.
Kane scored a penalty in the 35th minute after Richarlison was tripped inside the penalty area. Richarlison had earlier been denied a goal in the second minute by VAR.

When it was already too late, Forest’s captain Joe Worrall headed home in the 81st minute to prevent them from falling back into the relegation zone.
Steve Cooper’s team would have been pleased to lose by just one goal, but Fraser Forster of Tottenham saved Andre Ayew’s stoppage-time penalty.
After being eliminated by AC Milan on Wednesday in the Champions League, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte’s future at the club has been the subject of heated speculation.
