As part of his resolve to reform the dress code and code of behavior of MPs, Mr. Bagbin declared a few weeks ago that he would only wear the Speaker’s cloak on formal occasions this year.
Mr. Bagbin has followed through on his promise.
He sat in his seat today, wearing a kente cloth over a white lace shirt and a crown, regulating the House’s session.
The outfit appears to be similar to what Ewe chiefs wear during important ceremonial ceremonies.
