Afia Schwarzenegger intends to run for Parliament in 2024: Afia Schwarzenegger, the actress, has revealed that she will run for Member of Parliament in the 2024 general election.
She announced her candidacy for the Adansi Fomena seat in an Instagram post. The constituency she mentioned is her late father’s hometown.
During her weekend visit, Afia Schwarzenegger, born Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, shared several videos showing herself around the constituency.

In one video, local neighbors cheerfully welcomed her and escorted her around her father’s birthplace. They spoke candidly with Afia Schwarzenneger about some of the issues confronting the constituency.
“I’m coming back to contest the Fomena seat in 2024 with the assistance of God and my own angel (dad),” she captioned one of her pictures.
The actress stated that Adansi Fomena’s people deserved better leadership.
She would run as an independent candidate, according to one of the hashtags added to the description.
“Adansi Fomena here we come!!!!” added Afia Schwarzenneger.
The actress was in the constituency to help with burial arrangements for her late father.
On January 17, 2022, Afia Schwarzenegger lost her father. He died after succumbing to a brief illness.
She’d announced his death on Instagram. “My hero has departed to be with the Lord.” Daddy, rest in peace. “I’m at a loss,” she wrote.
